Valid ID or passport mandatory; entry not guaranteed without it. Full names (as on ID) must be provided at booking. Incomplete or incorrect info may result in denied entry and loss of the tour.
Arrive 15 minutes early at the meeting point.

- A moderate amount of walking is involved, so please wear comfortable shoes.
Security check with metal detector required at the Vatican Museums; expect possible wait times.
This is a list of prohibited items inside the Vatican Museums. It includes:
a) food and beverages of any kind;
b) luggage, bags, packages, and containers that exceed the dimensions of 40 x 35 x 15 cm;
c) backpacks, with the possible exception of small ones that can be worn on the shoulders and do not protrude more than 15 cm from the body’s silhouette at the maximum point;
d) pointed umbrellas or those of medium and large sizes, sticks (when not used to facilitate mobility), tripods for cameras and camcorders, signs and signs of any kind;
e) knives, scissors, and/or metallic tools of various kinds that could pose a danger to people and/or the exhibited works inside the Museums;
f) power banks and any object that, at the indisputable discretion of the Custody Corps, may pose a danger to the integrity and safety of the Vatican Museums’ premises.No pets allowed.
The Vatican Museum Administration may close the Museum or parts of it at any time, with or without notice, due to events, strikes, or any other reasons.
If you arrive late at the meeting point, you might miss the entrance. No-shows/late arrivals will not be refunded.
